This Delivery Policy outlines the terms under which Printio delivers orders to customers. It is drafted in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) 68 of 2008, specifically Section 19, which governs timely delivery and risk of loss.
1. Events Beyond Our Control (Force Majeure)
1.1. Printio and our delivery partners are not liable for delays or failure to perform our obligations if caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
1.2. Such events include, but are not limited to: strikes, lockouts, load shedding, protests, civil unrest, terrorism, fire, flood, pandemics, extreme weather, war, courier delays, and interruptions in transport or communication networks.
1.3. In such cases, order processing and delivery timeframes will be reasonably extended. We will notify affected customers of any material delay.
2. Delivery Address Accuracy
2.1. It is the customer's responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address. If an order is undeliverable due to an address error, the customer will be responsible for:
- Any additional courier charges for re-delivery; and
- A revised delivery timeframe.
2.2. Delivery estimates provided before the address correction will no longer apply.
3. Delays and Lost Parcels
3.1. If a parcel is delayed or appears lost in transit, Printio will allow the courier a reasonable period to investigate and attempt delivery.
3.2. Deliveries to remote areas or outlying postal codes may take longer than those to major centres. Customers in such regions should allow for extended delivery windows.
3.3. We will proactively notify customers of any delays beyond our published timelines, as required under Section 19(4) of the CPA.
4. Production & Delivery Timeline
4.1. Delivery estimates are based on:
- Production lead time (from proof approval or payment); and
- Courier transit time to the customer's address.
4.2. Production will only commence once:
- Full payment has been received and cleared; and
- All print-ready artwork or proofs have been approved.
4.3. Any errors or delays in artwork submission, proof approval, or payment clearance may result in revised delivery estimates.
5. Risk and Ownership
5.1. In line with Section 19(2)(c) of the CPA, the risk in the goods transfers to the customer upon delivery to the specified address.
5.2. Ownership of the products remains with Printio until full payment has been received.
6. Delivery Estimates Disclaimer
6.1. All delivery dates provided are estimates and not guaranteed, unless expressly agreed to in writing. While we make every effort to meet timelines, delays due to unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances may occur.
6.2. Printio will not be liable for delivery delays resulting from:
- Weather disruptions.
- Courier service failures.
- Customs delays (if applicable).
- Any other external factor beyond our control.
7. Returns & Non-Delivery
7.1. If you experience any of the following:
- Non-delivery
- Damaged goods
- Incorrect items received
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for your rights and the process to follow. We are committed to resolving such issues in line with CPA protections.
